Get a membership at the Library?
  • Residents of Sanford or Springvale may register for borrowing privileges by providing proof of residency.  Children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to register for a card.  Residents of other communities may buy a family card at $15 for 6 months or $20 for a year for the family.
Renew my library materials?
  • Call, visit the library or go online to renew library materials.  Items may be renewed once unless someone else is waiting for them.
Place holds on items?
  • Ask for an item to be held for you on-line, by phone or in person and we will give you a call when it is available.  Come see us for your patron barcode number if you would like to place items on hold through our on-line Library Catalog.
Use the downloadable digital services?
  • Come into the library and ask the staff at the Main Desk for your library barcode.  We are unable to do this over the phone or via email for privacy reasons.
Use the public access computers?
  • Anyone can sign up to use the public computers.  Young children must be accompanied by an adult and children under 14 must use the computers in the Children's Room and YA corner.  There is wireless access available throughout the library.
Access the local history and genealogy collection?
  • All visitors sign in at the front desk to use the Genealogy Room.  Patrons wishing to use the materials in the Genealogy Room may take notebooks, binders and writing utensils into the restricted area but must leave bags, purses, and briefcases downstairs or in their vehicles.   Please see our Local History and Genealogy page.
