How
Do
I...
Get to the library?
- From the north
(Acton & Shapleigh):
Take Route 109 into
Springvale. The Library is located on Main Street about one tenth
of a mile past Holdsworth Park, on the right, just after the Baptist
Church. Take a right at Bodwell Court. Parking is in the
rear.
From the south
(Wells):
Take Route 109
through Sanford into Springvale. The Library is located on Main
Street, on the left, about one tenth of a mile after the intersection
of Route 109 and Route 11. Parking is in the rear.
From the east
(Alfred):
Take Route 202 to
the intersection of Route 109 and Route 202. Take a right onto
Route 109 and go about three miles. The Library is located on
Main Street in Springvale, on the left, about one tenth of a mile after
the intersection of Route 109 and Route 11. Parking is in the
rear.
From the west
(Lebanon & New Hampshire):
Take Route 202 to
Route 11A. Follow 11A to the light in Springvale. Take a
left onto Route 109. The Library is located on Main Street in
Springvale, on the left, about one tenth of a mile after the
intersection of Route 109 and Route 11. Take a left onto Bodwell
Court. Parking is in the rear.
Get a membership at
the Library?
- Residents of
Sanford or Springvale may register for borrowing privileges by
providing
proof of residency. Children under 14 must be accompanied by a
parent or legal guardian to register for a card. Residents of
other communities may buy a family card at $15 for 6 months or $20 for
a year for the family.
Renew
my
library
materials?
- Call or visit the
library to renew library materials. Items may be renewed once
unless someone else is waiting for them.
Place
holds
on
items?
- Ask for an item
to be held for you on-line, by phone or in person and we will give you
a call when it is available. Come see us for your patron barcode
number if you would like to place items on hold on-line.
Use
the public acess computers?
- Anyone can sign
up to use the public computers. Young children must be
accompanied by an adult and children under 14 must use the computers in
the Children's Room and YA corner. There is wireless access
available throughout the library.
Access
the
local
history
and
genealogy
collection?
- All visitors sign
in at the front desk to use the
Genealogy Room. Patrons wishing to use the materials in the
Genealogy
Room may take notebooks, binders and writing utensils into the
restricted area but must leave bags, purses, and briefcases downstairs
or in their vehicles. Please see our Local History and
