Let’s Talk About It

Making Sense Of The Civil War

        This new series from the Maine Humanities Council in collaboration with the Maine State Library
         is designed as a succession of five conversations exploring different facets of the Civil War experience,
        informed by reading the words written or spoken by powerful voices from the past and present.
        Each session will explore a different topic.

        “Making Sense of the American Civil War” was created and funded by the National Endowment for the 

         Humanities as part of its We the People initiative, which promotes scholarship, teaching, and learning about      
        American history and culture.

Coastal Maine Botanical Garden Guest Passes

Coastal Maine Botanical Garden

The Library has 2 passes for free admission to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens
 in Boothbay
for library members to use.  Passes are loaned for four days at a time
and may be used any time the Gardens are open from April to November.
(There is no admission charged during the winter months.)
