September 1, 2020, The Library will resume Pre-COVID19 Hours
Monday, Thursday, Friday 9:30 - 5:00
Tuesday, Wednesday 9:30 - 7:00
Saturday 9:00- 2:00
Limited services will continue to be provided at this time, as they have been in July. Masks will be required to be worn above the nose at all times while in the building. A limit of 5 people are welcome in the building at one time and curbside will be provided indefinitely as a service to our community. As always, should the state of community transmission change, the Library will modify the opening plan and announce it here, on the website, Facebook, Instagram, and building signage. We dearly hope that we can continue to offer safe access to the building and collection but the health of our community will always be the most important thing to us.
Due to square footage calculations, we will be welcoming patrons 5 at a time, for 30-minute sessions, into the building.
For the safety of all, masks will be required to be in the building. Should you not have one with you, we have some that we can hand out. There is hand sanitizer at the door and we appreciate you applying some before you come in. When going into the stacks to browse, you'll see some one-way arrows to follow as there just isn't passing room in the rows. Any books that you've touched and have chosen not to take home with you just set them down on the quarantine tables. They will be brought downstairs and quarantined for 96 hours.
For our staff's safety, please stay behind the sneeze guards. It'll be so easy to move around the sneeze guards to say hello, but we'll all work to avoid that. Please adhere to 6-foot distancing To help, we have put guides on the floors.
We are making the Children's Room available for families by appointment. You'll get 30 minutes for everyone to browse around. We ask that adults handle the books and give to the kiddos to word or picture read. There will be a table set aside to put all books handled into our 96-hour quarantine area. Rest assured, there will be a 30-minute window between families using the room for us to disinfect high touch areas and remove the happily used books and other items. You can call ahead and book an appointment or see if the room is being used. If not, you can come right on down!
The Genealogy Room is accepting 2-hour bookings. Please call ahead to make an appointment or see if the room is currently being used.
We will have 3 computers for 30-minute use.
We will have printing available but as we cannot take cash for printing and copying at this time, we would greatly appreciate your donation put into the jar at the circulation desk.
We will be continuing to provide Curbside service on Main Street for the months to come. Please don't hesitate to use the service.
While the Library will look a bit different when you next come in, it will always be your library and we are so glad to be able to open the doors to welcome you back. We've missed you all terribly!
