Book Discussion group
Our Book Group meets the first Thursday of every month at noon.
Join us for a potlock lunch and a deep conversation about books that have ties to current events, have a deep social impact, or are a just a fun read.
Be sure to bring a dish to pass, and feel free to share some interesting questions or thoughts.
Meets every Thursday at 2:00PM.
Bring your latest project, and enjoy the company of fellow needle crafters. Our group meets for 90 minutes.
The fourth Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. monthly.
Bring a short piece that you want to share, or need to work on (five minutes or less to read aloud), and join your fellows writers in sharing ideas and tips to strengthen and diversify your voice.
The group consists of poets, fiction, and non-fiction writers published and unpublished at all stages in their craft. We warmly welcome new members into the fold, and encourage all skill levels to get writing. Join us!
Make It/Take It Mondays
Mondays from 10:00a.m. to 12p.m.
NEW Make it/Take it Mondays! Children are invited to come in anytime between 10 am–12 noon and make the craft of the day in the children’s room. No registration required. For a more structured story time, try Friday’s Toddler time. Make it/Take it Mondays will resume on Monday, January 6.
Baby Rhyme Time
Thursdays at 10:00a.m.
Babies under three years of age meet together with parents or caregivers for 30 minutes of rhymes, songs, and books followed by open-ended free play. This lively and brief program of fun, early literacy activities begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. and will resume on Thursday, January 9th.
Fridays at 10:00a.m.
Each week, toddlers ages 2-3 meet together with parents or caregivers for this free, 45 minute program. The program features a variety of stories, finger plays, songs and activities that will introduce the toddler to story time programming and will resume Friday, January 10th.
Family Sensory Story Time
Select Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30p.m. Please see the Home page, the Youth Services page, or our monthly newsletter for dates.
This story time is designed for specifically for children with sensory processing issues, sensitivities or developmental delays. Children of all ages ages.
"Cook the Book" Cookbook Club
The second Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. monthly.
This group meets on the third Thursday of the month from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Participants choose a recipe from the selected cookbook and on the designated day bring in their cooked dish. Members sample from all dishes and discuss aspects of the food and cookbook.
The last Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. No meeting July or August, resumes in September!
